Our Mission: "St. John's Episcopal Church is an open and inclusive Christian community comprised of diverse ethnicities and cultures, dedicated to serving God through worship, mission and outreach, while addressing human needs in Christ's love."
Education hour is held each Sunday morning immediately following our service of Holy Eucharist. We at St. John's embrace life-long learning and are a people invested in our own spiritual growth. Age appropriate classes are available for children through Senior Adjults and our learning is both practical and experiential. Education hour runs from Labor Day to the end of the school year in June. In addition to weekly Education Hour periodically individuals participate in book studies over a number of weeks and come together to discuss them (usually during Advent and Lent). Read More ...
The service of Holy Eucharist begins at 9:30 AM each Sunday morning while the Satna Misa en Espanol is at 5:00 PM each Sunday evening. Our services are intentionally "kid friendly" and we offer a time in worship each week to lift up the children and ask them to participate in the children's sermon. In addition, there are a number of roles that children and adults alike can assume in the leadership of the service with our Priest and Deacon. These roles vary from being an acolyte, a crucifer, an usher, lectors, or singing solos and participation in the choir. Read More ...
St. John’s Storehouse is our main outreach activity. It has grown significantly and now severs over 170 families at our monthly distribution. We provide a “Storehouse” feature where clients are offered items like make-up and over the counter medicine that are not available at other food pantries. We give client families complete dinners for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. The team also provides a pancake breakfast for families once a quarter. It has had a very positive effect on both the clients and the congregation.
Come Visit Us!! To get to St. John's you must turn off of North High School Road onto 30th Street and go through 2 stop signs, then turn right into our parking lot. This is the ONLY way to get to our Church. Other roads do not cut through.
